My life has always been one continuous story of redemption. I am amazed by the daily acts of forgiveness and mercy that I am shown from a God that loves me and just won’t let me go.  The truth is, I feel soooooo incredibly blessed to be me. Wow! It feels so good to say that and actually mean it!

My life has been far from perfect, in fact, there was a time when I didn’t even want to live. I had made a plan to take my own life due to the pain and disappointment that was a result of my own poor choices. The consequences of my mistakes had caused so much pain that I felt the only escape was death. My God saw me in my mess and refused to leave me there. He has redeemed me from my pit of despair and set me firmly on new ground.

Nehemiah 8:10

Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

The joy I have today is not based on the circumstances in which I live but rather the God in whom I worship! My strength comes from Him. The one who gave me breath is the one for who I now breathe. And let me tell you…I am able to take big…deep… refreshing breaths.

My natural response to his goodness is to accept His invitation to start a church where people can encounter The Living God and worship Him for themselves. A church with a simple and powerful mission.

Reach the Lost.

Love the Broken.

Care like Christ.

I am fired up!!! Every time I hear those three statements my pulse begins to race and I get this burning sensation that generated from deep within my core. I know that I was created for this very moment. For the first time I feel like I can better understand what the great Christian theologian John Wesley meant when he said, “I set myself on fire and people come to watch me burn.”

“I set myself on fire and people come to watch me burn.” – John Wesley

Here’s the thing…I want to invite others to catch fire right along with me. On Saturday, October 17th Redeemed Life Church will be hosting it’s first fundraising event, Night of Redemption. On this night some of the most gifted people I know will be donating their talents to lift up the name of Jesus and help raise funds for the launch of Redeemed Life Church. It’s going to be an AMAZING night of worship and creativity. It will be a night where praises will be lifted, testimonies will be given, dance crews will tear up the platform, spoken word artist will inspire us, visual artist will leave us in awe and Christ will be magnified. Tickets can be purchased at nor2015.eventbrite.com.

I truly believe that the Holy Spirit is going to set the city of Azusa on fire. I’m ready…I was born for this.
